The Story:
Starry Night is one of Vincent Van Gogh’s most recognizable and stunning works of art. The original piece was an oil painting on canvas, painted in 1889. It was the view from his asylum room just before sunrise. Van Gogh had committed himself to the asylum, where many of his most famous works were painted, after suffering a mental breakdown. Shortly thereafter he tragically ended his own life, but his memory and artwork will remain in perpetuity. Modgy is happy to bring this historic work to you in all its glory so you may enjoy it daily!
